Friday 31 May 2013 - 19:00

These nights are by donation, so you get to pay what you think is appropriate with all profits going to cover bands expenses and the remainder will be donated to a project close to our hearts - Strummerville, a foundation that helps promote grassroots bands via gigs, rehearsal space and studio time both in the Uk and across the world. Please give generously to ensure we can carry on putting running these shows and help stimulate new musical growth in these financially difficult times. -http://www.strummerville.com/

2 SICK MONKEYS

2 Sick Monkeys formed in December 2000, as a live two piece bass and drums, primarily to support Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream) at a drum event in Swindon.

They have now played over 700 gigs, including 8 European tours.

They have built up a strong live following and have supported bands such as Subhumans, Anti-Nowhere League, Discharge, GBH, The Varukers, The Dickies, Total Chaos, The Buzzcocks, Goldblade, 999, Citizen Fish, Inner Terrestrials, UK Subs, Drongos For Europe, Sham 69, Targetpoint, Captain Everything, The Vibrators, Sonic Boom Six and Lord Bishop Rocks.

Their influences range from the complex rhythms of Nomeansno to the catchy melodies of Green Day.

GAGREFLEX

‘A two-headed punk rock machine - small enough to tour in a car; big enough to take your face clean off’

Spawned from the ashes of a band that imploded trying to write the most complicated songs known to man, the two heads that are GagReflex decided that they needed a new MO. Enter a new approach - brave, obtuse, defiant, yet simpler, and more fun - bass and drums - that's all you need, right? GR thought so and got cracking on that basis. A fresh new blend emerged - absolute punk rock, with alternative pop tendencies - something to leave an odd but addictive taste on the palate.

The lineup never got finished. It never will.

MONOLITHIAN

"Monolithian consisting of Simon on bass/vocals and Shannon on drums will deconstruct your skull with their epic mind-numbing blackened doom metal madness. Evil lurks through the smoke-filled haze as fuzzed out bass riffs swirl against a steady sinister groove. Menacing guttural vocals add to the pandemonium." - heavyplanet

"this uk duo sounds amazing, stoner doom/blackend metal mayhem. i feel my hair growing." - droning earth

"Incredible EP of blackened doom metal from new Cornish duo Monolithian. Shades of the ragingly epic Charger abound in the first track Yog Sothoth's coruscating vocal performance, the claustrophobic tones of the piece crushing the air and light out of the room with a slow momentum that shifts forward in heaving movements. There's also the distinct imprint of Electric Wizard stamped into the slow moving grooves as clouds of smoke billow into dark shapes in the wake of each new riff pushing through." - not for resale

"From the opening distorted chords to the final faded out notes, Monolithian deliver a lesson in doom. I can not begin to describe quite how heavy this brand of doom metal is, all I can say is that it will make you want to beat the spouse (I must take this opportunity to declare than neither I nor any member of the Ship O Metal team condone beating spouses)." - red beards ship' o metal

"Yog Sothoth sounds immensely heavy and the bass on this is floorshakingly fantastic. The vocals sound anguished and convey a convincingly real sense of terror." - DOOMED/SLUDGED/DOWNTUNED/AND STONED facebook group

"Throughout all 4 tracks the vocal style sits on the fence between the sludge style of wailing/crying and the Black metal style that sounds like eternal suffering in vocal form, sort of like if you got Gaahl and forced him to put on weight and fill in for Mike Williams. Vocals aside, it’s the bass guitar work that is the true highlight, and it truly is commendable that a bass with the right amount of distortion can not only capture the obesely heavy nature of doom, but also the raw and necrotic sounds that are synonymous with 90′s Black metal, something that is rarely done well by a 4/5 piece band, let alone a bassist and a drummer (making it one of the most resourceful releases I have heard in a while, being beaten only by Foul Body Autopsy). There is no awkward transition phase or failed-attempt to meld the two either, with both distinct genres allowing to thrive in their own right, alternating seamlessly throughout." - world of shit

Mick Jogger and the Rolling Zones, Glastonbury Warm Up

Mick Jogger and the Rolling Zones, Glastonbury Warm Up

Saturday 22 June 2013 - 19:00

The Rolling Zones, The UK's Ultimate Tribute to the Rolling Stones featuring the UK’s no 1 Mick Jagger look-alike and sound-alike, Mick Jogger.

Mick Jogger and the Rolling Zones burst to the fore in 2009 when Mick Jogger, formerly of the Rollin’ Clones, decided to get back on the road after a “sabbatical” spell.

The band quickly came together with Ronnie Woodentop (lead & rhythm guitar) and Chuck Notwell (keyboards) joining the fold, followed hot on their heels by Keef Pilchard (lead & rhythm guitar), Bill Pyeman (bass guitar), Charlie Wattsisname (drums) and Angel Fisher (backing vocals). The impetus was there for the launch of the UK’s most exciting and entertaining Rolling Stones tribute band!

Festivals, corporate events, parties, rock venues, theme nights........ whatever the occasion The Rolling Zones offer the ultimate in “Stones” entertainment! Their live show is full of action, colour and above all a real expression of “live” essential Rolling Stones songs, great for listening, dancing and having a wild time!

All the members of The Rolling Zones are very experienced musicians with Mick Jogger bringing many years of touring and performing Stones material to the mix. The result.... a fresh and dramatic interpretation of Stones material played with a raw, deft yet powerful feel!
